First Grocery Store - 1468 Village Road

 

Attached to the house at 1468 Village Road was once a small grocery and convenience store started by Adolphe Rochefort and Isabelle Perron. Their nephew, Henri Perron, bought the store in 1920. Henri Perron is remembered as a generous person known to extend credit to those struggling through the Depression. His son, Hector, and daughter-in-law, Germaine, purchased the store in 1955.
