Degagné Household - 1469 Village Road

 

In front of le magasin Perron is what used to be Professor Lionel Ouellette’s home. He sold it to Marie and Olem Degagné in 1935. In this home the Degagné’s raised 13 children. Marie’s mother, Mrs. Henri Bélecque, organized some of the first parish picnics dating back to 1931. For many years, Marie and Olem carried on with the tradition and prepared the village's beloved cipailles and beans.
