Bouchard Store - Across from 252 Booth Road (Near the Bell/Vianet communication tower)

 

The magasin Bouchard is remembered as an impressive building on top of the hill. The store sold dry goods such as hardware, fabric and thread. Mrs. Bouchard was postmistress, a role she had taken over from Astorville’s first postmasters Cléophas Robert and Napoléon Ouellette. She held this role until she moved to Timmins and the post office was relocated to the hotel.
