Champagne Service Station 1967

Rancourt and Champagne Garages, now Wheelers - Corner of Astorville Road and Village Road

In 1957, Daniel and Noëlla Rancourt built a garage and service station at the corner of Booth and Village Road. In 1964, the business was sold to Percy Champagne and his wife Fernande who added a home and restaurant. In 1974, the business was sold and renamed Wheeler's. The Teal family took over in 1990. The restaurant was damaged by fire in the early 2000s but, in 2015 at this location, they opened a chip stand called the Wheeler Wagon.
