Camion du boucher Rochefort - Rochefort butcher's truck

Laurent Rochefort

Edmond Road, Astorville Train Station and Groulx Farms

Edmond Road was named after Edmond Rochefort, a local butcher, who like many village farmers traveled weekly to the North Bay Farmers Market. After the departure of J.R. Booth in 1913, the village became dependent on agriculture as its main industry and prospered due to the demands of the local tourism boom. Starting in 1913, villagers would travel Edmond Road to the Astorville Train Station located near the Groulx Farms and from there they could access nearby communities.
